Accessibility

What we do

• Every page is built to work without JavaScript and to remain readable **if the stylesheet fails

to load** — both are tested on every build.

• Text and background meet WCAG AA contrast, and this is checked automatically rather than by eye.
• Every page has a skip-to-content link, one h1, and headings in order.
• Nothing scrolls sideways at any width from 320px upward; wide tables scroll inside their own

box rather than pushing the page.

• Articles are published as full-text HTML as well as PDF. A PDF is often unusable with a screen

reader; the HTML version is the accessible one, and it is not an afterthought.

• We ask authors for tables as editable text, never as images — an image of a table cannot be read

aloud, searched or indexed.

What we do not claim

We have not had this site audited by a specialist, and we do not claim full WCAG conformance. What we claim is what we test, and the tests run on every build.

If something is unusable

Write to us and say what you were trying to read and what happened. We treat it as a fault, not a request.
