The conflict

Avloryn Publications is part of Avloryn Group — the name for two companies under common ownership. The other is Avloryn Labs, which makes an AI academic-writing assistant.

A publisher and an author-services tool under one owner is a conflict of interest, and it must be declared. “Avloryn Group” is a brand rather than a company: the two businesses are separate Limited Liability Partnerships registered in India, and neither owns the other. Neither is a subsidiary of the other, and there is no holding company above them.

The publisher’s registered office and named contact are on our contact page, so this is a statement you can check rather than one you have to take on trust.

The controls

These are structural, not promises:

• The two are separate legal entities on separate systems, sharing no database, no user accounts, no analytics, and no data in either direction.
• The owner holds no editorial role and takes no part in any decision to accept or decline a paper.
• Using any Avloryn Labs product confers no advantage of any kind in review. Submissions are not checked against, matched to, or informed by any product’s user base.
• Our AI use policy contains no exception for any Avloryn Labs product. Any such exception would make this disclosure worthless.

If you think it has been breached

Our appeals procedure applies, and you may write directly to the Editor-in-Chief of the journal concerned. A complaint about a journal’s conduct goes to its Editor-in-Chief; a complaint about an Editor-in-Chief goes to the publisher. We acknowledge within 7 days and respond substantively within 30.
