An author may appeal a decision once, in writing, to the Editor-in-Chief, setting out specifically what they believe was mistaken. Appeals are decided by an editor who did not take the original decision. Disagreement with a reviewer's judgement is not itself grounds; a demonstrable error of fact, process or conflict is.

Complaints about the journal's conduct go to the Editor-in-Chief, and complaints about the Editor-in-Chief go to the publisher. We acknowledge within 7 days and respond substantively within 30.
