Authors declare all financial and non-financial interests that a reasonable reader might consider relevant — funding, employment, consultancy, patents, and personal or professional relationships that could be seen to influence the work. A declaration of "none" is published as such.

Reviewers declare conflicts before accepting and decline where a conflict is material. Editors declare conflicts and recuse themselves from handling any submission where one exists.
